Obituary of Joline Weiss

Joline Donna Weiss passed away December 31, 2014. Born in Lima, Ohio in 1920 to Edwin and Alice Hefner, Joline married Harry Weiss in 1941, shortly after moving to Denver with her family. After WWII they started a window covering business later known as Wesco Fabrics which still thrives today. Their vision to build a national wholesale decorative fabric and window covering company became a reality with Harry's financial and business acumen and Joline's drive, focus and ability to know what the client would love. In a male dominated industry, she became a legend. She loved to travel the world, to dance, tell stories, and entertain. She loved glitz and glam, beautiful clothes, jewelry, and interior design. With great style, she captured attention wherever she went. The education of her children and grandchildren were of utmost importance. In the last years of her life she was able to connect with her great grandchildren and gave love and comfort to her entire family. Harry and her daughter, Sharon Rittgers, proceeded her in death. She lives on through her daughters, Marla Gentry (Dick) and Lora Carlile and grandchildren Kerri MacKenzie, Jodi Dyce, Lisa Decker (Ray), Stacy Mullikin (Stan), and Brent Carlile, as well as 11 great grandchildren. Services are Monday noon at Feldman Mortuary. Flowers or contributions to Children’s Diabetes Foundation or Children’s Hospital.
